Eskom to ensure load shedding remains 'a thing of the past'
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Eskom Acting Chairperson Zethembe Khoza says its electricity system is solid which is a cause for celebration.

Khoza says the power utility has not implemented load shedding in nine months due to the maintenance of plants.
Last week, it was announced the utility would ensure load shedding remains a thing of the past.
Khoza says the synchronisation of the KZN-based Ingula 3 Pumped Storage Scheme to the national grid in March is also a significant milestone.
"This is part of Eskom's larger capacity expansion plan which will increase generation capacity in South Africa by more than 17 000 megawatts. We can take comfort in the strike made by our employees, and management team in turning the corner of our operational performance," he said.
