Eskom downgrades from Stage 4 load shedding to Stage 3
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Eskom's keeping us in the dark a little longer but has downgraded from load shedding Stage 4.

Stage 3 scheduled power cuts took effect from 8am on Friday morning.
They'll remain in place until 10pm, to give Eskom the chance to replenish emergency generation reserves.
Scheduled power cuts could last until the weekend.
The utility's Sinokathi Mantshantsha says the electricity demand has reduced thanks to warmer weather, but it's a long road to recovery.
Mantshantsha says they are working around the clock to restore generation breakdowns.
"Eskom teams have successfully returned a generation unit each at Tutuka, Matla, Majuba and the Camden power stations. However, two other units suffered breakdowns during the period.
"Unplanned breakdowns amount to 11 185MW of capacity, adding to the 5 040MW currently out on planned maintenance."
