Eskom has appointed Johnny Dladla as its interim CEO with immediate effect.
Dladla is currently CEO of Eskom Enterprises, the investment arm of Eskom Holdings.
Spokesperson for the power utility, Khulu Phasiwe says the appointment is temporary.
"Mr Dladla will be in the interim position until the Eskom board and the Minister of Public Enterprises announce the new Eskom CEO."
He says Eskom's main concern is to continue providing electricity without loadshedding.
"The most urgent issue for us as a company is to make sure we continue to run the business without any loadshedding or any disruption. We want to keep the momentum going," Phasiwe says.
Dladla has qualifications in finance from several institutions including Harvard Business School, Cranfield University and the AAA School of AdvertisingShow's Stories
