Ernie Els partners with Durban hotel
A Durban hotel says it is an honour to be partnering with iconic South African golfer, Ernie Els in a new business venture.
The Hilton will be opening a new restaurant, The Big Easy, at their Durban branch in October.
The hotel's Markus Fritz says Els's wine bar and restaurant will be stocked with memorabilia and wines from his signature wine collection.
''I think it's a great partnership and especially part of the rejuvenation of the hotel. Ernie Els has a strong relationship with Durban because he won multiple times the South African Open at the country club.
"So it was important for him - obviously being South African and his roots are in South Africa,'' he said.
