Enyobeni tavern owner's wife appears in court

The wife of the manager of the Enyobeni tavern appeared in an East London court alongside her husband on Friday.
Provincial police say the 43-year-old woman was served with a summons to appear in court on charges of selling alcohol to underage persons and contravening the Liquor Act.
Two tavern employees have already been fined R2 000 on similar charges.

The matter has been postponed to next month for a trial date to be set.
On Thursday, the families of the 21 victims were informed that their children suffocated to death.
They had been partying at the packed established in June to celebrate the end of exams.
