Ensure you're not buying a stolen vehicle: KZN police
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
KZN police are urging potential second-hand car buyers to always verify documentation before making a purchase.

"If they want to buy any second-hand vehicle, they must make sure that they go to the police station - check the chassis and engine number. Buyers must ensure they are purchasing the correct vehicle," The police's Thulani Zwane says.
They recovered three stolen vehicles in KwaMakhutha, outside Amanzimtoti, this week.
A number of ID documents, as well as manual logbooks were found at the house.

Zwane says the property was being used as a chop shop.
He says the home-owner fled the scene when officers arrived.
"We are confident that the suspect will be arrested. He is known so we are going to arrest them soon," he says.
