Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Empangeni residents are being urged to store water ahead of a 12-hour planned shutdown tomorrow for routine maintenance of the Water Treatment Works.
Residents can expect to be without water from 6am to 6pm.
Mhlathuze Water says it will be conducting a routine check-up on the 800-millimetre pipeline from Nsezi to Empangeni.
Municipal Spokesperson Mdu Ncalane says the planned water shutdown is aimed at fixing and servicing the bulk line to ensure that water supply is not interrupted in future.
