Emotions run high as Lindani Myeni is remembered fondly in his hometown

Lindani Myeni has been described as a gentle giant who didn't deserve to die the way he did.
The former KZN rugby player from Richards Bay was shot and killed by police in Hawaii, where he lived with his wife and children.
Officers in Honolulu had responded to a 911 call of an alleged burglary in progress.

A memorial service has been held on Thursday at the Empangeni Rugby Club.
Myeni's friend, Celester Asuega from Samoa, broke down as he recalled the time he met him.
"He was such a heartwarming person, it's so hard to forget.
"Lindani, I love you so much. You are the reason why I wanted to have a family and you know what, you will never be forgotten.
"You will always be my brother forever. Your kids, I promise I will watch over them for you."
