Emergency services attend to several crashes in KZN

Emergency services have been kept busy this Christmas long weekend, attending to several accidents in KZN.
IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics were called out to a head-on collision in in Ladysmith yesterday.
Spokesperson, Samantha Meyrick says three people- including a 10-year-old girl were declared dead at the scene.
"A fourth person was found to be in a critical condition while entrapped in his vehicle, under the car of medics on scene. The patient was extricated by EMR Rescue."
Paramedics from the Midlands Emergency Medical Services say two people were killed in a crash on the R617 near Boston.

Spokesperson, Roland Robertson says children were among the injured.
"A patient was trapped in a vehicle and required urgent advance life support treatment."
"Multiple children were critical and one of them was lifted and placed on a manual ventilator on the scene."
On Saturday, seven people were killed in an eight vehicle pileup on the N3 at Van Reenen's Pass.
