Emergency aid for storm-hit Durban areas

Disaster management teams are assessing the damage following heavy rainfall across the Greater Durban area yesterday.

Areas including KwaMashu and Verulam were severely affected by the deluge.
It's understood dozens of people have been left destitute in the northern and outer west regions of eThekwini.
The City says some people from affected communities have been taken to Amoati Hall in Inanda, north of Durban.
The Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs' Lennox Mabaso says teams are assisting those affected.
