Electricity tariff hike a disappointment: expert
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
An energy expert believes South Africans shouldn't be responsible for the shortfall of electricity sales.

Eskom was yesterday granted a 9.4% increase electricity tariff hike to recover around R22-billion.
The hike will kick in on April 1. Ted Blom, an energy expert, says the tariff increase is a disappointment.
"That's another R8-billion that we the public have to stand good for. We think it's unjustified and unfair. We don't believe we should be milked so that Eskom walks away with more R20-billion in profits for the 2013 financial year," he said.
