Elderly man killed in KZN accident
A man believed to be in his 60s has died after being struck by a light motor vehicle on the main road in Madameni outside Hillcrest this morning.
ER24 says paramedics arrived at the scene and found members of the public trying to load his body into a vehicle.
Medics took over the scene and began assessing the pedestrian - he had sustained fatal injuries.
Spokesperson Russell Meiring says there was nothing they could do to help him and he was declared dead on scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt. Authorities are probing what lead to the accident.
