Elderly man gunned down in Richmond farm
A man in his 70s has been shot dead on a farm in Richmond in the KZN Midlands.
Emergency services say the man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.
ER24 says he'd already died before they could reach the farm.
Spokesperson Russel Meiring says another man, also in his 70s, was found in a critical condition with gunshot wounds to his chest.
"Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately performed on the patient to stabilise his vital signs. Once treated, the patient was transported to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg for urgent treatment.
"The details surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations," he said.
