EFF seeks details on state of disaster declaration
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has vowed that foul play will not go unpunished following the declaration of a state of disaster at Eskom.
President Cyril Ramaphosa made the declaration during his State of the Nation Address address on Thursday night.
During his party's post SONA briefing on Friday, EFF leader Julius Malema said they will be watching closely to ensure the process does not unduly benefit the ANC or its affiliates.
"We'll wait for them to issue the final details of what is the state of disaster entail. Once that has been announced, we'll make sure that if its not in line with the constitution it is challenged, if it is in line with the constitution we monitor its implementation to avoid possible looting by the ANC cadres."
