EFF react as student activist, Bonginkosi Khanyile's case postponed
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
The EFF in KZN says it will continue to fight for Bonginkosi Khanyile's release from jail.
Khanyile, who has been denied bail twice, has been behind bars since the end of September last year.
The DUT student faces eight charges ranging from damage to property to inciting violence.
His case was postponed at the Durban Magistrate's Court to 25 February.
EFF provincial chairperson, Vukani Ndlovu says the outcome of the student leader's pre-trial conference is disappointing.
"He received four distinctions. He should be registering for a BTech. We think it's unfair that despite there being no protests - he remains a threat. Why?" he said.
