EFF calls for swift arrest of MUT student's killer

The EFF Student Council has called for the swift arrest of Xolile Mbatha's killer.
The Mangosuthu University of Technology engineering student was stabbed to death at the Ark Royal Residence in Durban's south beach area.
The 23-year-old was attacked, allegedly by her boyfriend, during a domestic dispute.

The suspect is still on the run.
Provincial spokesperson Yaya Mnikwa says Mbatha's murder has left many students on edge.
He has asked the varsity to offer psycho-social support to her roommate, who is said to have witnessed the horrific ordeal.

"It is very sad and bad, every fears about what happened. When the guy was doing this the roommate was in the room and experienced everything.
"We wrote a statement that anyone who saw the incident must come forward and we will take them to the relevant departments."
