EFF, AfriForum in Senekal ahead of court appearance
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Lobby group AfriForum says it’s members have descended on the small town of Senekal in the Free State to highlight the real issues affecting farmers.

The group’s members are in town amid the second court appearance of the two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of 21-year-old farm manager Brendin Horner.
AfriForum's Kallie Kriel says they will use the opportunity to highlight the challenges faced by farmer and farmworkers.
"We are here to talk about real issues, and that is the terror that the people are experiencing in their farms with farm murders.
“The international community, as well as local people, seeing this issue being put on the agenda and we don't want to deter from that. We won't be distracted by the lunatic fringe from the EFF.”
He says they will also discuss the protection of farmers.
"We are also going to speak with regard to the solution we know that government cannot protect us so we need to protect ourselves within the frameworks of the law.”
