Edward Zuma: Police must pass through me before arresting my father
Former president Jacob Zuma's son Edward has vowed to protect his father from arrest.
He made the remarks on Tuesday after the Constitutional Court found Zuma guilty of contempt for his refusal to appear at the commission of inquiry into state capture.
The court slapped Zuma with a 15-month jail term.
Zuma is expected to hand himself over within five days at Nkandla or the Johannesburg Central Prison.
Both African National Congress (ANC) and Jacob Zuma Foundation said they are still studying the judgment handed down by the apex court.
However, Edward insists that the police will have to deal with him first.
"Whatever decision law enforcement agencies decide upon, if that drastic decision happens to be taken, they will have to pass by me, meaning I will lay my life for president Zuma.

"They are not going to take him to prison while I am still alive. They will have to kill me first and I insist on that."
The former president still enjoys pockets of support within the governing party and Edward Zuma believes his father will not be abandoned in his hour of need.
"You must expect worse than what you have been witnessing in the past months and past years, we appreciate the support and we encourage people to come in numbers to support Zuma,” his son said.
