Easter road safety operations in place
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Road Traffic Management Corporation says road safety efforts have already shifted up a gear in the build-up to the Easter long weekend.

The Evidential Breathalyser Alcohol Test, or Ebat, is also expected to be fully rolled out at roadblocks, especially in KZN.
The recently introduced computerised breathalyser takes various factors into account - including age and gender - and prints a precise alcohol level reading.
The RTMC’s Simon Zwane says motorists must be careful on the roads.
"This year we will also be focusing on public transport, overloading of vehicles, overloaded trailers and speeding as well as roadworthiness of vehicles," he said.
"We have also started our anti-corruption campaign to ensure that even certificates issues at testing stations are valid," Zwane said.
