DUT students vow to close down university
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Durban University of Technology students are threatening to shut down the institution if management does not resolve the ongoing staff strike over salaries soon.

The six-week strike by members of three unions has led to the suspension of classes at the university.
Sasco has urged the institution and the unions to resolve the impasse and allow students to resume their studies.
The three unions have rejected the university's offer of a 6.5% increase on basic salary as well as a 6.5% increase for the monthly housing allowance.
