DUT students march against gender-based violence
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
DUT students are marching from the institution's Steve Biko Campus against what they say is an increase of crime on some of the campuses.
While the ANCYL's march against the abduction and killing of women is yet to get underway at King Dinuzulu Park in Durban, DUT students who've been demonstrating for the same cause are wrapping up theirs at the same venue.

SRC President Zuma Mncube says young women are the most targeted.
"First of all, our march is for awareness to everyone around DUT and in eThekwini. Can we please protect women, not kill or rape them. We are here to send a message to the municipality - all the security they deploy during strikes, can they also do that when we need protection. We need all those police officers to come and protect us," she said.
Students are expecting a representative from the eThekwini Municipality to accept their memorandum.
