DUT students affected by Durban strike get second chance at exam

Durban University of Technology students who missed their exams yesterday due to the taxi strike will have an opportunity to sit for another exam.
SANTACO led a protest over what it says is the high prices of Toyota Quantum minibuses.
It led to a disruption of taxi operations in Durban - leaving a large number of commuters stranded.

DUT's Alan Khan says they have taken into consideration the fact that some students who were meant to write might have not been able to make it for their paper.
"If they missed their examinations, they should apply for supplementary or special exams. The university will not charge any special fees for the supplementary or special exams where students have been affected, we strongly advise them to apply for special examination," he said.
