Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The Durban University of Technology and the three unions representing striking workers have agreed to a signed framework for the mediation process on the ongoing salary impasse.
Staff downed tools about seven weeks ago - bringing the 2018 academic year to a crashing halt before it could kick off.
DUT announced yesterday that the framework for the mediation process was agreed upon.
This after university management, EXCO and union representatives met with Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Buti Manamela on Tuesday. DUT says all departments will begin operating today.
