Durban wall collapse: Forensic expert faces disciplinary action
KZN Health says a forensic specialist will face disciplinary action if he's found to have mishandled the bodies of two children killed when a boundary wall at a property in Clare Estate collapsed.
Distraught family members have complained to the department saying they were horrified when the man carelessly picked up their children's bodies, before loading them into the mortuary van on Monday evening - just hours after they'd died.
This resident was there with the grief-stricken families.
"Basically, I saw the guy lifting up the child with one hand and dragging her over the bricks that were on the ground and placing her on the pavement.
"He picked up the second child up - and handled her like how you would throw a piece of wood into a van. People are still talking about it. For kids to be treated that way even when they passed on, it' wrong," the resident said.

Health officials say internal probe's underway. It's understood that three girls had been swinging on the gate at the end of the driveway, when the wall came crashing down on them.
A five and seven-year-old were killed. The third child is in hospital.
