Durban traffic hits snag with several road closures

Road closures in Durban added to the stress of Tuesday morning's rush hour.
Sibusiso Mgaga, who was on his way to Durban North, said was stuck on the N2, near the NPC Cement Factory, from before 7am.
"Right now, I've just had my reserve tank light on.
"I have people I am taking with as part of my lift club and we are all frustrated because we have supposed to be at work at half past seven and we just wish that maybe there were more off-ramps."
The N2 north has been closed until further notice, between Spaghetti Junction and the M7.
This after a service delivery protest in Chesterville turned violent on Monday night, and demonstrators rampaged through the street - targeting a car-carrier trailer.
"They burnt a truck carrying motor vehicles. We are advising motorists to use alternative routes," said Durban metro police spokesperson Boysie Zungu.
