Durban tow truckers killed in drive-by shooting
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
Durban police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder following a shooting in which two tow truck drivers were killed

They were gunned down in a drive-by shooting at a petrol in Morningside yesterday. Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the incident took place in the early hours of the morning.
"Five tow truck drivers were at a service station on Ridge Road when occupants in a white Toyota Etios with tinted windows fired randomly at them", she said.
"The victims sustained gunshot wounds to the body. One died at the scene and four were rushed to hospital where one later died. Charges of murder and attempted murder are being investigated by Berea SAPS", Gwala said.
There have been two other shooting incidents involving tow truck drivers in Durban this year.
In April, a tow truck drive was shot in Phoenix. In August, a driver was wounded in a shooting on the Berea.
