Durban teen hits the big screen

A Durban pupil has been chosen as one of the three presenters in the country to host a new children's programme on Disney Africa.

Thirteen-year-old Enhle Ntombela was chosen alongside two Capetonians, Aneeqah Sulaiman and Sophie de Bruyn to host I love Violetta.

The girls are the first to star in the country's first local TV show on the international children's entertainment channel.

The series is a companion to Argentine production Violetta. The trio will discuss challenges the characters face while giving fashion advice based on what the characters are wearing - amongst other things.

The Glenwood resident says she has always had hopes of being on the big screen.

Ntombela says her parents couldn't be more prouder.

The show will air on the Disney Channel every Friday from September 25.
