Durban residents encouraged to go green

She was speaking during a walkabout at the sixth Sustainable Living Exhibition which kicked off today at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
Dube-Ncube says such platforms help to highlight some of the problems faced by KwaZulu-Natal especially with the ongoing water crisis.
''We're still facing a drought and this is why part of the Sustainable Living Exhibition is to teach young children. As you can see schools in KZN are using recycled material.
"[A the exhibition] there are water conservation and electricity saving instruments and the wonderful fuel station that encourages people to walk rather than taking buses and public transport,'' she said.
The exhibition runs until Sunday.
