Durban pupils hurt after taxi bursts into flames

Two school children have suffered serious burn injuries after the taxi they were travelling in caught alight near Chatsworth this morning.
The incident occurred on the M1 Higginson Highway, south of Durban.
Emergency services say the two injured pupils have been taken to hospital for further care.

KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services' spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says no one else was hurt.
"The minibus had been transporting school children at the time. Two pupils have sustained serious injuries. 14 others had managed to escape from the taxi without being hurt," he said.
It is still unknown what caused the vehicle to burst into flames.
