Durban private security company to challenge suspension

A Verulam-based private security company wants the regulatory body's decision to suspend its services - overturned.
Reaction Unit SA says it's fighting the move.
Regulators announced yesterday that RUSA had been suspended with immediate affect in the wake of alleged misconduct.
The company's Prem Balram says they're the victims of a witch-hunt.
He says they've approached the courts and have also opened a case of corruption.

Linda Mbana who is with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority - says they've received numerous complaints about RUSA's conduct and how some reaction units treat people.
"We welcome that as SIRA. It is within their right to do so and we will be happy if we can know who is corrupt and who isn't. We are more than willing to listen to whatever they will bring forward," she said.
