Durban prison fugitive nabbed, in court today

After two months as a fugitive, an awaiting trial prisoner who escaped from Westville prison is behind bars again.
It's believed Ashen Vishnudath, was sprung out of jail in August after assuming the identity of another inmate who had been granted bail.

Twenty-seven-year-old Vishnudath was arrested for allegedly killing a man in Mariannhill in March.
KZN police say he was re-captured in the early hours of Monday morning, at his hide-out in Umbilo, south of Durban.
He will face another charge of escaping from lawful custody, when he appears in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

On Friday, a 53-year-old suspect who was allegedly involved in the escape was arrested in Reservoir Hills.
He is also expected to appear in court today.
Two other suspects who apparently helped Vishnudath escape were caught shortly after the jailbreak in August.
