eThekwini metro police have acknowledged that there is a need to improve safety and security on Morningside's Florida Road and across Durban.
Police met with local business owners on Tuesday, many of whom were left shaken by Friday night's shootings on the popular restaurant strip.
Rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and chef Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane were gunned down.

The killings have since sparked concerns and conversations around public safety.
Durban metro police spokesperson Boysie Zungu says there is room for improvement when it comes to police visibility and the deployment of law enforcement teams along Florida Road.
"We agree that we also need to increase our operating times and our coverage until 6 o'clock on the following day. Some of the issues are not related to metro police but need the attention of other departments."
