Durban North woman's case now a murder probe

KZN Police say the case of inquest opened after a burnt body was discovered at a New Hanover farm in the Midlands has been changed to one of murder.
The family of missing Durban North woman, Siam Lee identified the body as being hers yesterday.
The 20-year-old had been missing since last week Thursday. She was last seen outside her place of work in Margaret Maytom Avenue.

SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says officers will only say for sure that the body is Lee's after receiving the results of DNA testing.
"Although the family went to the police station to identify the body. They confirmed it is the same woman reported missing. We as police cannot confirm at this stage whether it is the same woman or not. The case is being investigated by the New Hanover police. We are still waiting for the post-mortem results that will tell us exactly how she was killed," he says.
No arrests have been made.
