A local musician has been charged with the murder of his partner over the weekend.

55-year-old Jenny King was found dead at her home, in Forest Hills, on Saturday morning.
Her boyfriend, 56-year-old Charlie Ridgway, was subsequently arrested.
Ridgway, who is well-known in Durban's music circles, made his first appearance before a magistrate yesterday.
"The accused appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court and was granted bail worth R2000 with bail conditions. The accused faces one count of murder and the matter has been postponed until March 18 for further investigation," spokesperson for the NPA in KZN, Natasha Kara said.
