Durban mosque leadership prays for peace

The chairperson of the Imam Hussain Mosque in Ottawa, near Verulam north of Durban is calling for peace.
Azad Seedat addressed religious leaders and the media in Durban yesterday. The mosque was attacked twice last week.
Seedat says the mosque has been closed for several weeks for renovations.
Hawks officials confirmed that a bomb was found at the complex on Sunday night, just days after a group of knife wielding men stormed the building.

Abbas Essop died due to the severe injuries he sustained. Two other people were also hurt.
Essop's brother, Farouk, says the two other victims are still receiving treatment.

"From what I gather they are recovering quite well," he said.
