Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The KwaZulu-Natal Health Department has suspended the senior manager of its Magwaza Maphalala Street Mortuary in Durban, that is the old Gale Street Mortuary.

The facility made headlines recently after a family took home the wrong corpse.
Officials then refused to take back the body.
MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo says the mortuary also has a rat problem.
Dhlomo's taken immediate action while investigations get underway.
''We have suspended her with immediate effect and we have appointed someone [to hold the fort in her absence] while we investigate and determine whether she is fit to continue managing the facility.
''There is a particular area that we are going to cordon off during the investigation, it will be closed however the facility will still be operating,'' he said.
