Durban man in court for burying baby’s body

A Durban man is expected to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after a five-month-old baby’s corpse was found near his home.
Police discovered the infant's body on Sunday in Mpongompongweni.
The cause of the child’s death is not yet known, but detectives believe the suspect was responsible for burying the body.

"Police in KwaDukuza have arrested a 29-year-old man for murder. A body of a baby was allegedly buried in a shallow grave by the parents," says police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo.
