Durban home fraudster to apply for bail next week

A 54-year-old
woman who allegedly sold a house that did not belong to her in Durban North
will apply for bail next week.
The Hawks say the house belongs to the National Department of Public Works and that KZN's police commissioner actually resides there.
It's alleged the woman enticed the complainant who was looking for property into buying in 2020.
Officials say the complainant paid her R2.2 million for the property.
He raised the alarm after he found construction happening at the home and was told that the house belonged to the state.

She was arrested by the Hawks on Thursday.
The NPA's Natasha Kara. " She's charged with fraud, money laundering as well as contravention of the Attorney's Act," says the NPA Natasha Kara.
"The matter was remanded to the 10th of June for a formal bail application."
