Durban Home Affairs official in court for bribery
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
The worker was arrested during a sting operation at the weekend.
Office manager, Mfiyeni Nzuza has told Newswatch the undercover operation was set-up after the applicant informed management about the alleged bribe.
Nzuza says it is corrupt officials like these who unfortunately tarnish the image of Home Affairs.
"I'm very disappointed because this impinges on the government's strategy for clean governance and the Minister's effort to try as much as we can to make sure that we exercise and eradicate such elements," he said.
