KwaZulu-Natal police say several fraud cases were opened between February 2018 and October 2019.

Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says Chetty and Pillay were positively linked to at least 14 incidents in Chatsworth, Phoenix, Malvern, Town Hill, Tongaat and other areas.

"Their modus-operandi was to promise the people to secure a discounted holiday abroad and locally. The total amount of cash that was defrauded is R900 000. The dockets were opened and they were transferred to provincial crime investigations for further investigation.”
