Durban hit by multiple protests

There was mayhem on the roads on Monday morning as protests flared up in parts of Durban.
A demonstration that began with protesters burning tyres on the M19 under the N2 bridge earlier moved further down the route.
eThekwini's metro police spokesperson Sibusiso Nene said Alpine and Umgeni roads were closed to traffic from Britannia Hotel on both sides.

"Its advised not to use Umngeni. Umngeni is a no go zone as from now."
Roads in some areas south of Durban were also been disrupted due to protest action
"Protest action in Shallcross Road that road is closed as well,” said Nene.
