Durban family distraught after toddler drowns

A 23-month-old child has drowned in a family pool in Glenmore, Durban.
Emergency services were called to the scene by members of the local neighbourhood watch.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the child had died before they arrived at the home.
Umbilo SAPS who were also at the scene are investigating further.
Meanwhile, a 40-year old man drowned at Virginia beach in Durban North last week. His body was found by police search and rescue teams following an hours-long search.
