Durban family desperate to find loved one who went missing during heavy rains
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Five days of searching have left a Durban family even more desperate as they hang on and hope to find their missing loved one.

And now search and rescue officials have turned to the public to ask for help from anyone who might have information. Brenda Lynn Scriven of Sunningdale disappeared on Monday afternoon while trying to make her way home from work during heavy rain.
It is believed her car had a mechanical failure in Glen Anil and may have got into trouble in the floodwaters.
Marshall Security's Kyle van Reenen says they are now scaling down resources while they hope for possible information from the public.
"What we are appealing to the public is that should they see anything or hear of anything of Brenda's whereabouts or any possible citing along the river or any area," he said.
"If they could please contact 10 111 and let the SAPS know so that her disappearance can be investigated further by the authorities," van Reenen said.
