The Newlands East Community is mourning the loss of a 19-year-old man who was killed at People's Park near Moses Mabhida Stadium last night.
He had been attending East Coast Radio's annual Durban Day event.
Although details surrounding the incident are still sketchy, police say the man was found lying in a pool of blood after he was stabbed.
A friend who lives in the area says the 19-year-old came to his house to borrow a shirt before leaving for the concert.
The friend, who prefers to remain anonymous, says that was the last time he saw him.
