Durban Day stabbing case postponed
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The case of two teenage suspects accused of stabbing to death a young man at the East Coast Radio Durban Day event on Sunday has been postponed to next week Thursday in the Durban Magistrate's Court.
That's when they will make their formal bail application.
Courtroom 10 was packed to capacity as the two accused made their first appearance.
Their family and friends were there to show support. One of the suspects is a Grade 11 learner while the other is student at the Umbilo FET College.
When they stood before the magistrate they showed no emotion.
They each face charges of murder and attempted murder. The two were not asked to plead.
Their defence however has asked the court that proceedings move quickly so that they do not miss out too much on their schooling.
