Durban commuters to prepare for taxi fare increase
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
With the latest fuel price increase having kicked in yesterday, the SA National Taxi Council says commuters should brace themselves for a taxi fare hike at the beginning of next month.

Santaco's KZN Chairperson, Boy Zondi says the increase had already been in the pipeline before the latest fuel hike was announced.
Zondi says there hasn't been a taxi fare hike in over a year and the council's individual taxi associations will decide how much they increase their fares by.
These Durban commuters say the hike will force them to find employment closer to their homes as this seems to be the cheaper option.
