Durban community rallies around local children's home
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Durban baby home that was on the verge of closing down says the community has rallied behind it and helped it get back on its feet.
The Ray of Hope Babies' Home in Glen Hills has been struggling to pay workers and buy groceries.
Crisis mother, Rachel Uys says the help they've received from businesses and community members has helped them keep their doors open.
Uys says they need more help to sustain the home long-term.
"My girls are getting very low wages. There's been no sign of that increasing. That's the issue because the cost of living has gone up considerably," she said.
