Durban college HOD faces fraud charges
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The head of the College of Natural Health in Durban has been charged with fraud as it’s been found the college is not registered with the Department of Higher Education.

The bogus college has been operating from the premises of Varsity College in Durban North. It also has branches across the country.
A team from the department had planned to have the principal arrested at the weekend, but a workshop he was to run at the college was cancelled 15 minutes before their arrival.
The department’s director of Private Higher Education Institutions Dr Shaheeda Essack says some students have paid R60 000 and others R90 000 over a three-year-period for their unrecognised diplomas.
