Durban churches rally to support DCC senior pastors

Religious leaders from the eThekwini Community Church are at the Durban Christian Centre in Mayville to offer their support after a fire gutted the Jesus Dome.

An investigation is underway into what exactly started the inferno last night but reports suggest an electrical fault.

No one was was hurt in the blaze but the main auditorium has been destroyed.
Pastor Vusi Dube who says he was trained at the Dome, has told Newswatch he came to offer moral support to Fred and Nellie Roberts and John Torrens who are senior pastors in the mega-church.
''It's painful for us as religious leaders and we need to pray for Durban Christian Centre and we are praying that this work will come up again. We will do whatever we can do to support, it depends on what the Durban Christian Centre needs.
''I think even financially at a certain point, as churches we will have to come together and see what we can offer,'' he said.
