Durban child porn suspect abandons bail application
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
One of the three Durban men facing child pornography charges has abandoned his bail application in the Durban Magistrate's Court.

The man appeared in court earlier with his two co-accused - Gavin Fautsmann and Jacques Rheeder.
It's unclear why accused number one abandoned his bail application. He is also accused of raping a six-year-old child, and cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim.
The three men were arrested earlier this month, in a joint operation between SAPS and the US Department of Homeland Security.
Fautsmann - who identified his co-accused to police - is already out on R3500 bail, while Rheeder's defence was unavailable for today's hearing.
The matter has been adjourned to January 20 - when Rheeder is expected to make his bail application.
Authorities are in the process of tracing more potential victims.
